Meet the Development Intern – Angel Quintana, CS Class of 2026

Meet Angel Quintana, the new Development Intern with º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø! Angel is a Chicago Scholar from the Class of 2026, currently attending .

We spoke with Angel about his experience as a Scholar so far, what he’s excited to learn with this internship experience, and why he decided to intern at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø. Read on for his responses!

First, can you tell us a bit about where you’re going to school, and your career aspirations?

“Hi! I’m Angel, and I am attending Columbia College Chicago with a major in creative writing and a minor in Latin America Studies. My biggest career aspiration is to be a journalist in the entertainment industry! With that, I am preparing to have my final semester in Los Angeles in Spring 2026 as part of Columbia’s Semester in LA Program.”

What’s your experience as a Chicago Scholar been like so far?

I can’t imagine what my academic and professional life would be like without º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø. I wouldn’t be able to attend Columbia and make so many incredible friends without their help. My time being an Emerge Intern helped me develop professional skills very early on and the summer I worked at Weigel Broadcasting remains one of my most cherished summers ever. It’s been nothing but wonderful experiences with º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø and I’m excited to see what’s next.”

Finally, as a Scholar yourself, what made you want to work with the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø team for this internship?

There’s a variety of different reasons why I wanted to intern at º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø. The most prominent one is that I love being involved with non-profit organizations, it’s something I’ve been passionate about since high school. As someone who would like to one day create their own academic & arts program, I was drawn to being a Development Intern to gain more hands-on experience and see how a team comes together to make everything work in an organization. Furthermore, from my experiences being a Emerge intern in the past; I know the workplace will be supportive and uplifting as everyone on the Dream Team is kind.”
