“I’ll be able to raise the bar”: Class of 2030 Scholars share why a college degree is worth the cost

A recent showed that nearly two-thirds of American voters do not think a college degree is worth the cost. While we at 海角乱伦社区 agree that the cost of education is too high, we also believe in the transformative power of a degree.

We asked Class of 2030 Scholars why they believe a degree is worth it 鈥 see their responses below.

 

鈥淕etting a 4-year degree is important to me because it鈥檚 my ticket to build the best version of myself. My degree will provide me with the skills and experience I need to grow, while giving me the ability to invest my degree back into my community.鈥 鈥 Skyeshell Blake

In the electrical engineering field, I want to have knowledge and experience with hardware and software properties to create astounding devices for future generations in the world. 鈥淕etting a four-year degree is incredibly important to me because it represents the transition into the next phase of my journey toward medical school. I aspire to become a medical doctor, specifically a neurologist, and earning a bachelor鈥檚 degree is one of the essential steps I need to take to make this goal a reality.
