Alumni Leadership Association

The Alumni Leadership Association (ALA) is a group of talented º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø Alumni who are professionals committed to developing their leadership skills and building meaningful relationships that will transform our neighborhoods and our city. When Scholars graduate from college and transition into Alumni, they’re officially welcomed to the ALA, bringing our Alumni full circle in their journey with º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m a Scholar, how do I become a member of the ALA?

When you graduate from college and transition from a current Scholar to a Scholar Alum, you’re automatically eligible to join the ALA. However, we don’t always know when you celebrate your graduation. If you’re interested in being part of the ALA, be sure to let us know by joining the Alumni directory, signing up for the ALA newsletter, or simply emailing us

How do I become an ALA board officer?

While every Alumni is eligible to join the ALA, serving on the ALA board requires a bigger commitment, and includes attending monthly planning meetings, overseeing events, and connecting with new Scholar college graduates to welcome them to the ALA.

ALA Board members live across the country and commit to a year-long term and a $50 fundraising give/get. Board Officers are strongly encouraged to serve two terms.

How often does the ALA host events?

The Alumni Leadership Association hosts regular happy hours, networking events, and career roundtables, in addition to virtual “Ask an Alum” sessions.

ALA happy hours are hosted monthly, but networking events and other ALA events happen on a rolling basis. Stay tuned to the calendar of events on this page for updates.
